Disneyland: Day 3

Day three was the wettest and coldest day. But we weren't complaining because it was our third day so it was basically the cherry on top of an already fun trip.

I love these pictures. Our whole trip Olive was our little navigator. She has my loves of maps. She often does it in the car but something about her navigating us around Disneyland was just so adorable. People that were passing us seeing a Minnie, princess, raincoat wearing girl was directing us where to go kept telling us how she was too cute for words. We agree!

As per Olive's request we started the day with yet another ride on the Ariel ride. I told you it was a favorite! This time she got to ride with Grandma and Grandpa who hadn't been on it yet and apparently she narrated the whole ride to them.
Then once we got off Ariel is started to really rain. We were getting very wet so we decided to go over to the Muppets and watch the movie since it was indoors. We were extremely disappointed that they changed it to a holiday themed movie but we weren't complaining because we weren't getting drenched.

After the movie it was still raining really heavily and everyone else decided that they wanted to go shopping to get out of the rain. Well, since Olive had already picked out her toy we didn't really want to follow them all around as they all shopped so we were on our own to find shelter. Here is Olive and her set up on the stroller to stay dry. It worked pretty well until the time that she shook the umbrella and all the rain that had built up on it went pouring down on Milo who was sitting on the other end.

Even though we were wearing as many layers as we had brought we still bought some ponchos to try and stay dry. Unfortunately they didn't work very well. But it was better than nothing!
We decided to go watch some of the performances and shows that they have for the kids so we could be indoors and dry. Turned out both kids really loved them. Here is Milo entranced at the Disney Junior Show.
Olive really liked it too, especially when stuff fell from the ceiling. They were dancing and singing and it was an all around good time. Then we went and explored the animation studio next door and got to talk to Crush from Finding Nemo. I thought that was really fun and funny. Olive liked it but her feelings were hurt that he didn't call on her to ask a question.

After that we were kinda out of ideas and decided to head to a restaurant to eat a long lunch and try to wait out the rain. It kinda paid off and after about an hour and a half the rain let up for a bit. As we walked back to Disneyland Milo fell asleep so we figured this might be our only chance to get on a ride. I mean, I can't go to Disney and not ride Space Mountain!
After Space we took the kids back to Fantasy land and tried to finish up any rides we hadn't been on and ride a couple favorites again. As a side note, don't go on Snow White's Scary Adventure ride. It was a major bust!
Anyhoo, everyone in our group wanted to try and ride the Cars ride one more time. We let the kids stay up late since it was our last night there and hit up all the things in Cars land. Unfortunately the cars ride had been down all evening but we still had fun.
We quickly ran over for one ride on Tower of Terror while our kids went on rides with their cousins. I do love that ride!

It was dark but here's a picture of all those cute grandkids! 14 total!

Olive and I ended the night with a fun ride on and inflatable bumper car in Cars land. It was so much fun and we were laughing our heads off as we were trying to crash into everyone. (don't mind our lovely "rain hair" from all the wet weather that day!)
It was quite the amazing trip to Disneyland!
