Olive's Teddy Bear Picnic

When I taught school every spring we would have a Teddy Bear Picnic. It was always a favorite so I thought it would be fun to do it with Olive and some of her friends.

Poor sad Milo wasn't feeling great.
Olive's teddy is named Teddy. I love how floppy he is.
 Cute friends and their teddys!
We introduced all of our bears, we read the teddy bear picnic book and sang the song. I have been singing it to Olive for awhile now since we had the picnic coming up. Then it was picnic time. We ate loads of teddy grahams and gummy bears of course!
As with most parties, it ended in princess dress ups!

Milo the Dare Devil

Milo is such a funny kid. He isn't afraid of much. He is very strong willed. He loves a thrill. His favorite thing to do lately is go down the slide, and he likes to do it all by himself without any help. It's not the slide part that makes me anxious. It's the getting all the way to the slide part without any help that does. Now that he walks everywhere he likes to just walk around at the play structure and hang out is places that I can't easily reach him. Here is my big boy going down the slide all by himself.

Olive Visits the Fire Station

The last week of preschool Olive got to go visit all of the firemen at the Fire Station. It was really cool and quite interesting.

They got to walk through the fire truk and see all the things that are in the compartments.

Then a fireman dressed in all his gear talked to us about how he is nice and will help us. If we see him in a fire we shouldn't run away from him.

This is all the kids practicing Stop Drop and Roll

She's a fire fighter now!

The cute preschoolers

Then we must have snack before walking back to school

And Milo was there just hanging out with us too

We Built Tent City

We Built Tent City on Rock and Roll!!!
This is how I built it at first and Olive was so excited. She went rushing over and then paused for a second and asks "Mom, how am I supposed to get in?"

But then some friends came and we really made it tent city. It was epic. All the kids that were walking by the park kept saying "Wow!" Okay, maybe they didn't think it was that awesome but our kids sure loved it.

That same day we made Olive's gift for her teacher since it was the end of school.

We gave her a plant that said "Thank you for helping me "GROW" so much this year!" I thought it was the cutest thing and since Olive helped she was pretty proud of it.

Milo Can Walk

And he doesn't stop! While we were on our trip to Bear Lake Milo basically walked for a week straight. By the time we got home hw could walk and balance for long distances. It was kinda shocking how fast he became such a good walker.

He's such a big boy!

The Family Visits USU

On our way home we gave everyone a tour of USU campus and of course got us some more Aggie Ice Cream!
The whole gang!

Throwing his new basketball was all he wanted to do

This is our photo of all 14 grandkids.

Meditating on the Quad

All the kids ran down Old Main Hill and had quite the walk back up.

I think we might have some future Aggie in this bunch!
