Scott's Birthday

We had a great day celebrating Scott's 31st birthday. He had requested donuts for his special birthday breakfast. Scott is always on the hunt for a good donut so we decided to try out a recommendation from a friend to get Banbury donuts and they did not disappoint.

Scott got some morning cuddles, or should I say wrestles, from the kids first thing when he woke up.

Because we (I) love to make everything as special as possible Scott got a sign, a crown and a special plate to make him feel important on his special day.

The kids were especially excited that it was daddy's birthday because we don't eat donuts very often.

That's not all we had planned. We wanted to go surprise daddy at work with some balloons and brought him cupcakes to celebrate with his office.

Then we took him out for a yummy lunch at Zupas. The kids were really excited to hang out and eat with dad. Apparently the way we make things special is by eating lots of food!

We had to decorate the house just in time for dad to come home!

This was my best attempt to make Scott's chair seem decorated.

We got Scott some golf gifts so I decided to make his whole party golf themed.

Enjoying dinner to celebrate our wonderful Scott!

Olive was so cute about Scott's whole birthday celebration in general. She was so excited for everything we were doing to celebrate for him. I had gotten her something to give to him but she didn't feel that was quite personal enough, so she went down to her room and carefully searched through her things until she found something that she decided she could give away to dad as her present. She gave him a stuffed elephant. It was really sweet and endearing.

Scott got a new golf shirt.....

and a PGA pass to use at multiple courses in the valley. He was pretty excited about it. I kinda surprised him because he had just asked for a pass to our closest golf course. Now he just needs to find some time to use it!

Happy Birthday Scott!

We continued our celebrations through the weekend going to family's houses for more cake and presents. On Saturday though Scott said that he would really like to go out on a family date. So we all went to a movie. The kids LOVED it. We saw The Croods and they laughed and laughed (and somehow so did I)

Plus, the really exciting thing is that Milo lasted through the whole movie (thanks to lots of popcorn and treats!) It was a small miracle. I think Scott had lots of fun too and it was a great way to top off a great birthday!
