After we walked through the grocery store we walked over to the Fire Station. The fire fighters started off asking some questions about fire safety and teaching them about what to do if there is a fire. I sometimes forget that 4 year olds give really funny answers. The kids were making all of us adults crack up with their answers.
The fire fighters showed us their bed rooms and then took us to their work out room. The fire fighters weighed one of the kids to see if they weighed as much as the heavy gear that the fire fighters wear. Well, you know that meant that then all the kids wanted to stand on the scale. After Olive got weighed the fire fighter said, as he did to all the girls, "oh you're so skinny" to which Olive responded "I'm not skinny! I'm strong!" while showing him her muscles. It made me laugh so hard!
Then it was out to see the fire truck.
And drive the fire truck!
Then the fire man came out with all his gear on.
The kids thought that was pretty cool and they each gave him "bones"
We had to pose with the fire truck!
Then we got to go back inside and eat some delicious snacks before it was time to head home.
