I feel like lately I have been constantly saying how shocked I am at how much Olive is growing up. But Milo is changing every day. It's kinda crazy how much bigger and older he seems in just the last month.
I mean, look at him! He isn't a baby anymore! We were watching a friend's baby and Milo and Olive were both loving on him so much. I knew Olive would, but I was surprised about how excited Milo was. He would run and grab a different toy to hold up to the baby and then run and get another one. He kept saying "Baby! Baby!" Milo was so cute and sweet with Boston. It was pretty adorable. But it really made me think about how big my almost 2 year old is. He really isn't a baby anymore!
I mean look at these two! Don't they look like little boys?
One thing that has really changed the last month is how much Milo is talking. He has known lots of words for a long time but now he is figuring out how to tell me what he wants. Some of my favorites are how he yells "There it is!!!" when he finds our car in a parking lot. He will tell me "Ouchie, hurt!" when he has a poopy diaper. He now calls Olive by her full name instead of just saying "Ol" like he did before. He will walk around the house and call for her and it makes me so happy except for the part that when he finds her there is usually yelling and fighting because we are at that fun stage of constant fighting. He says has learned a ton more animal sounds, likes to bring me shoes to put on him, brings me books to read, wants to constantly play on my phone or iPad, and has started liking watching a tv show (which has come in very handy on a few occasions). He calls "Momma, Dadda! Mom!!" in the mornings when he wakes up to come get him out of bed.
He si obsessed with keys and likes to take them out of Scott's pockets. He walks around putting them in all the locks on the doors around the house. It's one of his favorite things to do. The only problem is he also really likes to push the buttons on the car keys and is often setting off our car alarm, I'm sure to the frustration of our neighbors.
He still likes light switches but has kinda moved on to buckles. He loves buckles and will put together any buckle he sees. He will spend so long on this chair snapping together he buckle and then call to me "Again!!' and where ever I am in the house he wants me to come undo them so he can snap them together again. If you put him in his seat to eat and try to buckle him he gets to angry with you. He also does his own buckles in his car seat, something Olive still doesn't like doing on her own.
He is really turning into a little boy and becoming super interested in boy things. Every day he pulls out his tools from his tool kit and dumps them all over his room and then walks around hammering things. He likes pushing around our toy shopping cart and putting stuff in it. He has started finding trucks when we are out driving around and wants to watch the garbage truck when it comes in the morning. The other day I took him to the car wash place and he was giggling as the car got sprayed off. Then he loved watching out the window as they dried and vacuumed it out. He was in heaven. He drives cars around the house now going vrooommmm vroooommmm! He loves when a helicopter or airplane fly by running up to me saying "Look look!"
And he has gotten into things like this where you get to hit and brake stuff. What more could a little boy like than smacking something with a bat? It is really sinking in that my little baby is definitely a little Milo Man these days.
