Milo is One Year Old!

 Oh my how I remember this week last year so vividly. I was over due and desperate. I was stressed and anxious about how this birth was going to go. Everything feels so different from a year ago. Things feel easy and happy. Our little Milo has brought so much love, brightness and happiness to our family. He is such a charming and friendly kid. Milo melts everyone's hearts and gives smiles so freely. Milo has incredible determination and a feisty little spirit within him. He is easy going, but opinionated. He is friendly but can through a major tantrum. He came out screaming and yet was pretty calm and sleepy the rest of the time in the hospital. He is such a delight and we love him so dearly.  At one Milo loves anything electronic, especially phones and remotes. He also knows when it isn't the real remote and just the toy one, we can't fool him anymore. He holds things up to his ear like he is talking on the phone. He like to analyze things and look at all the different parts whether is a toy or something he finds on the floor, then it usually goes straight into his mouth. This kid love screws, anything metal (especially if it spins or turns), plugs, things that are plugged into plugs, unrolling toilet paper, door hinges, door stops, and dad's instruments. He loves toys that light up and make a noise. He laughs easily but he definitely thinks Olive is funny, expect when her tickles get rather violent. He loves dirt and playing in the sand. He gets so dirty! He likes to mimic and shake his head "no". He knows when he is doing something naughty and looks at you with this "am I caught?" look. He likes to open and close drawers and door/cabinets and yells if they are baby proofed. He gets really proud of himself when he claps. He can say "more" in baby sign. He has figured out how to turn around and go down the stairs and he is quite proud of himself for that. He points at everything, if there are a lot of things to point at he just points up. He is such a daddy's boy and gets adorably excited when dad comes home from work. He loves wagon rides and going on walks. He has the best thighs you can imagine. He will swat things away or push Olive out of the way if he wants something. He loves pulling Olive's hair. He likes to bite and chew on his clothes and occasionally other people clothes. He likes so scoot himself around in Olive's toy car or walk behind his push walker. He laughs at bubbles. He gives really big belly laughs when daddy pretend hits himself. He loves to wave but usually does it too late so the other person never sees him. He loves to throw things down from his high chair or into the bath tub, his favorite is to throw things from the shopping cart because it's fun to see it fall. He has become surprising good at escaping from straps or any kind of restraint that we put him in. The other day I strapped him into his chair for lunch and then quickly went to the bathroom while he ate. When I came out he had somehow escaped and was sitting in the middle of the table proud and happy as can be.
