Spring Break 2015

We went to St George for spring break this year with plans to spend some time in Zions. We just went over the weekend and came back Tuesday. The kids and I went to museums and fun places for the rest of the break.
While we were there, the Gouffs came down for Hannah's State gymnastics meet. It was so fun going to watch her compete. Olive and Lizzie entertained themselves by coloring and playing with palace pets.
We were so proud of Hannah and it was so fun to watch her!

Outside the meet there was a rodeo going on. It was so random. The kids liked watching the cowboys ride their horses until it was the event where they rope a calf. Our kids started yelling to let the calves go. So we left and went over to the playground.

While they did the awards we went to get shakes. We love Spring Break with cousins!

The next day was when we went to Zions. This was my first time in a National Park. The Gouffs came with us and it was such a blast. Look at that cute Milo!

We played games and hung out on the grassy area while we ate some lunch. It is such beautiful scenery every direction that you look.

This boy and his dad!

That is Olive and Lizzie by the enormous tree near the lodge. Isn't that thing amazing?
I just had to snap a picture of these two hiking buddies. They hiked in their skirts holding hands almost the whole way. We love our BFC! (Best Friend Cousins)

The kids really liked splashing in the stream of the Lower Emerald Pools. It was the perfect hike for us.

Then we made it to the Upper pools. They threw rocks and climbed rocks and had a fantastic time.

Like I said, gorgeous vistas at every turn.

At the end of the trail we got so close to a deer. Can you see it right there by the tree?

These cute girls had matching swim suits and they were overjoyed.

The Gouffs brought down some rollerblades and Olive tried them out. She did so good.
The next day we went to one of our favorite breakfast restaurants called Breakfast At Tiffany's.

They have amazing crepes and french toast.
After that we went out to the glitter pits. The kids had so much fun digging and finding crystals. They were so excited to show me the pits since I wasn't there to when they went last year.
We had heard that you can dye the crystals by putting them in food coloring. It kinda worked.

On our last day we had some of Scott's work friends over to swim. They were down for Spring Break also and our kids had so much fun going off the diving board and doing tricks. It was  pretty great spring break! Plus we got to come back and do Easter!
