Disneyland Day 3

We had already had so much fun the past two days that we really knew whatever we did our last day would just be icing on the magical cake of Disneyland. We got there at opening and had to get a picture by the castle. It was cooler this day which was nice. Not too cold and fortunately it didn't rain on us.
Olive really wanted to get her face painted. She had seen it on someone the day before and thought it was so cool. So we went back to Fantasy Land first thing and were able to get right in and get their faces painted. They both loved it. Money well spent.
Milo got a Batman mask. He kept wanting to look at himself in the mirror because he thought it was so cool.
The face painting place was right by Casey Jr and we hadn't ridden it yet so we hopped on with no line. We got in the monkey cage and so here is Olive being a monkey. They both made monkey sounds out the side of the cage the whole ride.

From there it was off to Big Thunder Mountian. There was no line to we hopped right on. Milo was so close to getting on but they stopped him at the last second.

Here we go! It was so fun that Olive was excited to go on all these big rides. I forgot that there was smoke and an explosion on this ride.
Next up was Tarzan's Treehouse.

Since we were right by Pirates we convinced Olive to ride it. It took some serious convincing. This is the one ride that she remembers fro when we have come before and the felt like it was creepy and had a big drop. She was dead set on not going on Pirates. After lots of talking, I pointed out to her that there were babies going on this ride, that's how mellow it was. Then, clever girl that she is she said "I will go on it if I can get new Minnie Mouse ears". The ones we had brought with us broke in her suitcase. Scott and I were like "Done!" She had a lot of nerves in line, fortunately the line is a fast one. Once we got past the first drop she was fine. She realized it wasn't scary and was actually silly. Milo thought it was kinda creepy but didn't cry. When we asked him if he wanted to go again, he was like "No".  Notice in the picture how proud Olive is. And her pirate hook!

We get these corns dogs every time we go to Disneyland and we always take a picture like this too. Traditions right?
Then it was off to Bugs Land. We were back and forth a lot this day just to hit the things we hadn't done yet. This was the day we ended up walking the most. 25,000 steps actually. We rode all the rides in Bugs Land and then surprised our kids when...

We got to go see the Smith's at Tower of Terror. They had gotten fast passes with us so we split up and got to ride it with our friends.

Olive and me on Star Tours.

We had gone off to ride some more rides and at the end of the night met up with the Smith's to ride Small World as our last ride. They had never been on it before which was completely unacceptable!

After Small World we picked out some souvenirs and then went to find a spot to watch the fireworks. We were going to try and ride some more rides after the fireworks but as you can see Milo was spent.

It was a small fireworks show but still a great way to end a great day. Oh Disneyland, you were all the magic that we wanted. We are anxious to go back!
