First Week of Summer

We had one week of absolutely nothing between when school ended and when swim lesson started. And boy did we take advantage of it! First we took a trip to the zoo:

We love going with friends but sometimes it is really fun to do things with just us. Of course that meant riding the carousel 3 times. Olive likes to tell me that giraffes are her favorite animal. There is something so amazing about giraffes. I think they were her favorite this time because the baby was out. Olive is obsessed with baby animals.

I don't think we have ever seen the jaguar awake but boy was he this day. See those figures in the shadow? Those are my kids and he was pacing back and forth right in front of them. It was pretty creepy.

We rolled down hills after cheering on my brother and his wife at their softball game.

We painted our nails.

We went with lots of our friends to this super fun pool and played for hours.

We slept in every morning and we very lazy about getting ready. My kids didn't eat breakfast until around 10. I really feel like I should take advantage of it this summer since Olive will have to be at school at 8:30 next year, which seems impossible.

We went and played at the canyons. Milo LOVED chasing his boats down the streams.

He also liked playing with this little fountain.

Then he had a tantrum about pushing the stroller. Oh the things he has tantrums about. It's so unpredictable.
Olive had a ball at a birthday party for a friend from school because Rapunzel came.

Then to cap off a pretty stellar week we went on a family date night to the drive in. Milo never fell asleep so that part was kinda crazy, but other than that it was awesome.

He loved playing in the sleeping bags before the show started.

Olive, as always, was making friends with everyone there. It's just her nature.

As you can see was a pretty fabulous week of summer fun.
