Way back at the beginning of July Milo was blessed as part of our whirlwind 4th of July weekend. It was a wonderful day (although it was the hottest day of the year). My mom knit Milo his adorable blessing outfit. (I knit him a matching hat and booties but considering it was 102 degrees that day I didn't have the heart to put them on. In fact, Milo only wore his outfit at church and we stripped him down as soon as we got home.)
Scott gave Milo a beautiful blessing. What stood out to me the most was that he blessed Milo with compassion and to error on the side of being too charitable. Scott also blessed Milo that he would be a good friend and at times, people's only friend to rely on. There were many other wonderful things he told him. It was very touching. I felt the power of the priesthood and a major sense of responsibility to raise this sweet boy to achieve those blessings.
We had so much support from our family and friends! We are so blessed! After the blessing we went back to our house for a pot luck salad luncheon and some nice visiting. It was really a great day.
